I feel very fortunate to have been
able to bring Blue Persuasion into our herd as I have
admired the Stagelight does for several years and prior
to our herd dispersal this past Spring one of our herd
sires was Stagelight Palace Knight who sired one of our
nicest yearling milkers we have ever freshened, Nubilop
Acres Jazzamatazz who can be seen below under Nubilop
Acres A Ladies’ Man. Blue Persuasion is the result of
an AI with his sire being CH Fra-Jac’s Blue Bo-K. His
paternal granddam, Lady Carissa, was simply breathtaking – a fore udder and a rear
udder attachment to die for as well as an overall lovely
doe. Lady Carissa was 1st place 2 year old in the
late 1980's at the ADGA National Show in Harrisburg, PA. Many years back I had entertained the idea of
bringing in a couple of Fra-Jac bucks but at that time
in our lives it was a little more than what we could
afford. Needless to say, when I had a chance to bring
Blue Persuasion into our herd now it didn’t take me long
to realize this was an opportunity that would fulfill a
dream I had many years back. Blue Persuasion has only
five daughters to his name at this point. Two of his
daughters died as kids which was thought possibly due to
Blister beetles in the hay. It is not known how two of
the other daughters turned out as they were bred to
outside does. One other daughter, Stagelight Blue
Sequin, remains in the Stagelight herd and as noted in
the picture below is a very beautiful daughter of his.

Doctor Ozzie is quite a handsome guy
earning his permanent CH status and going Best Buck In
Show in California this past show season against some
strong competition. His sire is known to produce
beautiful general appearance and lovely mammary
systems. On his dam’s side there is good milk
production again with nice mammaries and beautiful
general appearance. He was previously owed by Mojave
Dunes and while out in California at their home this
Fall we were able to get a glimpse of his first
daughters born this past spring and they were all very
lovely. I certainly would not have had a problem
bringing them home. So from a general appearance
standpoint everything is there and I do believe that
those daughters have an excellent chance of freshening
out nicely. We are very excited to be using him in our
breeding program and thank Vicky with Mojave Dunes for
letting us bring him home and also thank Wanda of
Jowanda Nubians for the breeding of this beautiful buck.

We feel very fortunate to have been
offered a chance by Jean Baugh of Old Glory Nubians to
put this young guy back in our herd. His dam as a
2-year-old at the 2010 ADGA Nationals placed 12th in her
class. His pedigree speaks for itself. We saw the
first daughter freshen this last Spring out of his sire,
Stagelight Palace Knight, and what a beautiful doe she
is. There is a picture of her below. We named her
Jazzamatazz and she is now owned by Cole Meador and is
close enough that we will be able to enjoy seeing her in
the show ring and wish Cole the best with her. We will
be using this young guy on some of our younger does so
we can at least get some kids on the ground from him. I
love the looks of him – he has a naturally wide open
escutcheon when he walks as well as being long in body
with beautiful breed character. We’re hoping to get a
little color out of him with his dam having some spots
and his sire being black in color.
