Thanks to Vicky & her daughter of
Mojave Dunes for giving us
the opportunity to bring Violet back to Nebraska. When my
sister came out to take a look at our new herd after we got
everyone home, she was impressed with how tall Violet is, the
levelness of topline, length of body and that natural open
escutcheon when on the move. I am particularly excited about
the Little Bic’s genetics in both her sire’s and dam’s pedigree
which I know has worked so well with Stagelight and Regehr
bloodlines. She was shown only a few times as a dry yearling
this 2011 show season in California under strong competition and
won a Reserve Junior Champion, Junior Champion and Best Junior Doe
In Show. We will be looking forward to her freshening
this next Spring.

Flirt is from the Sagebrush herd and is just as beautiful a doe
as is her dam, Party Favor, that we had a chance to see while at
Marshall’s place. Flirt is a doe that I believe Marshall was
planning on keeping in his herd but was willing to help us get
our herd started back up and I have to say here’s a special
thanks Marshall for giving us the opportunity to make a home for
such a beautiful doe. Flirt has an outstanding pedigree with a
beautiful topline, a sweet disposition and what an escutcheon
area. Again, one of those does that you don’t have to set up to
look wide as she just naturally is. We will certainly be
looking forward to seeing her freshen in the hopes of a mammary
system as nice as her dam’s, her paternal granddam’s and her
maternal granddam’s.

DOB: February

Gabby is a striking doe with her black
and white coloring which comes from her sire, Remuda RWO Apache
Warrior. Black & white is a favorite color of mine and a
color that I think is so flashy in the show ring. A
special thanks to Cheryl Johnson for letting us bring this doe
back into our herd. Gabby was shown in the Wisconsin area
winning her junior leg this past show season. Gabby has a level topline with a
broad flat rump, beautiful chest extension and her dam’s and
sire’s beautiful breed character. Her dam, Scoobee Doo, is
featured at the top of our Home Page. Scoobee Doo has been a
tremendous doe in our herd in the past so we were very excited
when Cheryl agreed to let us return her daughter, Gabby,
back into our herd. Gabby’s dam’s final linear appraisal
score was EX92 with E’s in all four categories as is her
paternal granddam, SGCH Remuda LZZ Rhapsody who shares the same
linear appraisal scores of EX92. Gabby’s dam was show at
the ADGA Nationals as a 5-year-old and placed 8th in 2007 and in
the Aged Doe Class as an 8-year-old in 2010 placing 6th in her
class. She was also part of the 2nd place Senior Get of Sire at
the ADGA Nationals in 2007 as a 5-year-old. Not only is there
show quality in Gabby’s bloodlines but a strong will to
milk.

Tender Lovin is noted for her sweet disposition, length of body,
beautiful shoulders and smoothness of blending. In addition, she
has a beautiful chest extension. She comes to us thanks to Wanda
of Jowanda Nubians. Tender Lovin has a very impressive pedigree
going back to the Little Bic’s bloodlines which has worked so well
in our herd. Her sire, Jowanda’s Designer Genes was one of our
herd sires prior to dispersal of our herd so we are very much
looking forward to freshening this beautiful doe next spring.
She’s another doe we have great hopes for with her very strong
family history of nice mammary systems.

DOB: March 3, 2011 |
Tango has a little bit different disposition having been
dam raised. She tends to be a little standoffish but we are
slowly gaining her trust by bribing her with treats which she
dearly loves and she will let us scratch her head and chin at
that time. We figure by the time she goes through a pregnancy,
delivery of her kids and we start milking her this next
spring, she will be just as big a nuisance as the rest of
them. She and Tender Lovin are so very similar in general
appearance as they share the same sire. Tango’s ears could be
a little longer but we like all other aspects of this doeling
and are certainly thankful for the opportunity to have her
become a part of our herd. She is another beautiful doeling
that would have stood her ground in the show ring this past
show season if she would have had the chance. Her dam, Two
Step Salsa, has a beautiful mammary system and is well
deserving of the show ring but has not been shown since she
freshened so next year will be her debut as a 2nd freshening
3-year-old. All we ask of Tango is that she freshen with as
nice a mammary system as her dam.

Ginny is another doeling we brought back from Mojave Dunes on our
last trip out to California just before Christmas. She is another
doe which I think is tall for her age, long bodied and very level.
Where I would fault this doe is not having quite the height and
width in her euscutcheon area. By breeding her to Ladies’ Man with
the height and width he has in this area, I am hopeful that her
kids will reflect this.

Hermione is another doeling that comes to us from Mojave
Dunes as a result of our last trip to California just before
Christmas. We are very excited about her being sired by Doctor
Ozzie in the hope that she will freshen out as nice or even
nicer than her dam. Hermione is a smaller doe in stature but a
very lovely doeling being smoothly blended with a level topline
and a beautiful euscutcheon area. Luckily she came in to heat
just before I pulled the bucks out so hopefully she settled and
we will get a glimpse of a first Ozzie daughter to freshen.

DD: Nubilop Acres Tap's Charisma
DOB: March 30, 2011 |
Sweet Passion looks so much like her dam, Gigi, in general
appearance and breed character as well as the same sweet
disposition. She, however, has a nicer topline than her dam
thanks to Palace Knight who so consistently puts on nice level
toplines. She returns to our herd thanks to Jean Baugh of Old
Glory Nubians in Texas. There is certainly a story behind the
reason for the opportunity for us to bring Sweet Passion, A
Ladies’ Man and Always A Lady back into our herd from Jean. I
continue to believe that there is a plan for everything in our
lives – sometimes for the better and sometimes what seems like
the worst scenario actually works out for the best in the
end. Sweet Passion’s dam, Gigi, has won many Best of Shows as
well as being 2nd place 4-year-old with 3rd udder at the 2007
ADGA Nationals and 5th place in the Aged Doe class at the 2010
ADGA Nationals. Sweet Passion’s dam along with Scoobee Doo
have been two of our top producers in milk production over the
years. Sweet Passion is a doe I think has tremendous
potential for freshening out nice and we are so very glad to
have been able to bring her back home.

You simply cannot miss this doeling with
her striking color, perfectly level topline, beautiful breed
character, her length of body and dairy character. Gypsy Rose
is very easy going and simply thrives on attention. She is a
maternal granddaughter of Scoobee Doo. She is one of three
daughters sired by Apache Warrior now currently in our herd.
I give many thanks to Barb Regehr of
Regehr’s Nubians for
offering us the chance to bring this doe back into our herd.
Apache Warrior has given us a lot of color and daughters that
are beautiful in general appearance. Now that we know he has
given us the general appearance we are looking for, the
verdict is out on how his first daughters will freshen and the
quality of their mammary systems. Gypsy Rose’s dam has been
shown in the 2011 show season as a yearling milker and has
done fairly well. Gypsy Rose’s dam has a very nice mammary
system, but is a little immature and it is going to take her a
year or two to catch up to her peers. At this point we
believe Gypsy Rose will be big enough to breed, but in the
event when the time comes she is not we will hold her over as
a dry yearling.

Peppermint Twist is another of our Apache
Warrior daughters that simply excels in general appearance. She
too has a very nice topline, tremendous spring of rib for a
doeling her age, beautiful breed character and a WOW of an
escutcheon area. Shortly after birth after she was walking good
it became very apparent what a natural high and rounded
escutcheon she has. She was very small at birth but has
certainly caught up with her peers. Her dam, Nubilop Acres
She’s Soo Fine is now back in our herd. Her littermate brother
is a herd sire for Regehr’s Nubians. I would very much like to
give Barb Regehr a huge thank you for giving us the opportunity
to bring Peppermint Twist back into our herd. At this point we
plan on breeding her and believe she will be big enough when the
time comes. However, if she is not she will be a dry yearling
for us in the 2012 show season and perhaps one of our grandson’s
4-H projects.
